A simple and warm evening, in practice
On Fridays they light the stove around six and put a casserole in the oven before the first people arrive. They live in a house in the countryside, forty minutes from a city, with neighbours who drop in unannounced and a dog who greets everyone. Dinner runs long, people stay, and they drive home the ones without a car.
There's no plan: a table, a good bottle, people telling each other about their week and laughing loudly. The first drink happens in town, in a public bar you choose, and if you ever decide to come and see the house, there's a train to the village, in both directions.
What makes this world is the table. If you'd rather have a gig and a neighbourhood bar, that's another world, on the same app, on the same level.
