Your first threesome with a couple: how to stay safe

By Aurélien Joubert, founder of Reynelle.

Your first threesome with a couple: check they really are two people, set your limits first, meet somewhere public, tell a friend, leave when you want.

You want to try this, and none of it requires taking risks. This guide is for you. The couple has their own: Find a unicorn without being creepy.

Before you even talk

First, make sure they really are two people. Ask for a short video of both of them, together, while you're chatting. One face on screen and an excuse for the other, and you move on. Fake couples (a single man posing as two people) are the most common problem you'll run into.

Look at how they talk to you. A message that could be sent to anyone is a message sent to anyone.

You set the terms

Say what you want and what you don't, before meeting. Not to reassure them, but so everything is clear. If they haggle over one of your limits before they've even met you, stop there.

The first date is a drink, in a public place, not at theirs and not at yours. If it clicks, there will be a second time. If they insist on "straight to our place" for the first meeting, they aren't trying to meet you. They're trying to skip the part where you can say no.

That night

During

You can leave at any moment, without explanation. "I'm heading home" is a complete sentence. If something feels off with one of them, it's a no for both.

Health

Condoms, for everyone, no discussion. Asking for a recent STI test on both sides takes one sentence, and if they take it badly, that's your answer.

After

If you feel like leaving a review of the couple, on the app where you met, do it. The next woman will choose with your words in front of her, not just theirs.

If something went wrong, it's not your fault. Report, block, and talk to someone.
