Manifesto
Reynelle starts from a simple observation: on existing apps, a single woman gets dozens of messages from couples, all alike, and eventually leaves. We turned it around. Here she posts, couples apply, and she spends an evening in a world different from her own, with people she likes.
Every world is desirable. The sailboat and the house with the wood stove are two worlds, not two tiers.
A couple shows up as who they are and the life they lead together. They propose nothing in exchange for a date, and no field in the app will let them.
Reynelle is a dating app, bound by the same rules as any other: no nudity, no explicit content, profiles that are never public. What changes is who decides.
Couples will never write first. That is what spares a woman from sorting through dozens of identical messages, and what forces a couple to write to her and to no one else.
In France, the law punishes obtaining a sexual relationship in exchange for a benefit, even in kind. Reynelle will have no field to propose one, will filter the vocabulary of exchange, and will ban both partners at the first attempt.
Five worlds to begin with, all on the same level: jet-set, nature and adventure, urban and culture, bohemian, simple and warm. We will add more with the first women who join.
